As you might know Jolicloud is based on Ubuntu Netbook Remix, so some features are included and other are not. One of them is the ability to switch Jolicloud’s desktop to the Gnome’s classic desktop. In order to have that functionality just install the following package:
aptitude install desktop-switcher
Now you will be able to switch your desktop whenever you want to. This is usefull, for instance, when you have to use your netbook with a projector.
