As you might know, Jolicloud is based on Ubuntu Remix Netbook (more specifically on Ubuntu Jaunty). Do you want to know what happens if you upgrade to Ubuntu Karmic? Here’s what you’ll got:
I thought everything worked well after the upgrade, but some things obviously don’t. Although this icon overlap lasts few seconds, it can be really annoying. But the worst thing is that you can’t upgrade the system any more due to a segmentation error:
So, the best thing you can do is to wait until Jolicloud team update its components to Ubuntu Karmic…

Estimado, te dejo la siguiente URL de mi sitio donde muestro mi review, además decirte que yo hice lo que mencionas y lo pude solucionar simplemente renombrando el fichero preferences a preferences.back y luego realicé un upgrade nuevamente sin problemas saludos.

@knx Ten en cuenta que borrando ese archivo puedes perder las bondades de Jolicloud ya que los paquetes de Jolicloud dejarán de ser los preferidos a la hora de instalar aplicaciones. Mira en contenido del archivo:
