Even though Jack Bauer doesn’t eat, sleep or pee I can tell you for sure he makes room to help you out to learn new words or idiomatic expressions, like the following ones:

  1. Clacking (to clack) = To cause to make an abrupt, sharp sound. Example: The clack of an old-fashioned typewriter or computer keyboard.
  2. Debrief = To interrogate (a person who has recently experienced an event). Example:  Well, I plan to debrief O’Brian
  3. Interlock your fingers =
  4. Interlok your fingers width=

  5. To cut someone some slack = To not judge someone very hard because he or she is in a difficult situation.
  6. Q&A = Questions & Answers. Example:  Member of the press corps, there will no Q&A following the president’s statement.
