Before and after
There are lots of applications in the Android world for installing, free and paid ones. If your phone is running out of internal memory you will end without space for installing new apps, as it happens after installing a MIUI rom and a few apps. To fix this you can use a2SD to move applications to the SD card, or even to a ext2, ext3 or ext4 partition, so you will have more space without uninstalling other apps. Let’s see how to do this.
- Dowload the a2SD by Darktremor and copy it into folder /OpenRecovery/updates on toy SD card.
- Go to the recovery and apply dtapps2sd-22.214.171.124-beta04-signed.zip as an update (as if it were a rom).
- Reboot the phone.
- In the phone, open Android’s Terminal Emulator and run a2SD to move the dalvik-cacheto the SD card:
su a2sd cachesd
- Your phone will reboot.
Now you will be able to install more applications in the phone with the “gained” space.
